Data Warehouse Developer, Division of Corporate Strategy & Services

The University of Western Sydney is a rapidly growing enterprise with a vision to provide high quality higher education across the Greater Western Sydney region as well as nationally and internationally. The university has embarked on a business intelligence program to support their strategic initiatives and forecasted future growth.

Located within the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Corporate Strategy & Services), the University's business intelligence team have the responsibility for the design and implementation of an enterprise-wide Business Intelligence platform comprising an Oracle data warehouse, Wherescape RED for ETL and data warehouse development and Cognos 8 for reporting and data exploration.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and scheduling of ETL programs to populate the data warehouse and may also be required to write small custom applications using Java from time to time.

This is an exciting opportunity for a data warehouse developer looking to use a state of the art tool-set in a program adopting an agile approach. A creative and flexible approach with the ability to focus on and work to deadlines will be required as is a strong commitment to customer service.

The position is full-time continuing and will be based at the Universitys Werrington North campus near Penrith.
